Passes the copper mirror test when the same flux is formulated with isopropyl alcohol as the solids from the water based formulation are reconstituted with isopropyl alcohol.
Process Recommendations
Amerway 850 VOC Free Soldering Flux can be applied by spray or wave systems. The optimum preheat temperature for most circuit board assemblies is 200-240 F (93-115 C). The conveyor speed and preheat should be adjusted to ensure complete water removal before contact with the solder wave. Because the Amerway 850 VOC Free Flux is water based, it does not require frequent acid value monitoring. If thinning is required, the addition of deionized water is all that is necessary. The Amerway 850 VOC Free Flux may freeze when exposed to temperature below 32 F. If the flux becomes frozen, bring to room temperature until thawed and agitate. The material is not affected by freezing.
Safety: Amerway 850 VOC Free Soldering Flux is a non-flammable material. Standard precautions should be observed when handling this product.
