Water Soluble Fluxes

Amerway 600 Neutral Water Soluble Flux -- Amerway 600 Neutral Water Soluble Flux is a low solids, neutral pH flux, halide activated for wave soldering through-hole, mixed technology and surface mount printed circuit assemblies. Amerway 600 Neutral Water Soluble Flux is formulated with a built in detergent which is biodegradable and cleans easily in water to low ionic levels while leaving a surface which has a high surface insulation resistance (SIR). The activators in Amerway 600 Neutral pH flux provide excellent soldering on nickel, kovar, alloy 42, and copper surfaces. It can also be used for wave or drag soldering operations and for component lead and frame tinning. Amerway 600 Neutral Water Soluble Flux has a built in detergent as well as a neutral pH which eliminates the need of detergent cleaning. This flux is easily cleaned in just water which eliminates the cost of environmental concerns.

Application:  Amerway 600 Neutral Water Soluble Flux can be applied by foam, dip, wave or spray fluxing equipment.  For best results, use the following guidelines:  

1.  Keep foam head, pot level, or wave height consistent through appropriate adjustments.  Replace flux daily if self-contained storage system is not available.  Otherwise, replace after every forty (40) hours of operation.

2.  Adjust the specific gravity to the nominal level of + 0.01 with the proper Amerway thinner.

3.  Add fresh flux to maintain the appropriate level.

4.  Clean fluxing equipment regularly to remove debris, trapped oil or water.  When foam fluxing, clean foam stone in the proper Amerway thinner whenever the flux is changed, or as needed.
