Electronic Rosin-Based Fluxes

Amerway 300 Rosin-Activated Flux (RA)  --  Amerway 300 Rosin Flux -RA-25 is specially formulated with a pure water-white rosin in alcohol and is considerably stronger and more active than the Type RMA fluxes.  For High reliability, flux residues should be removed from printed circuit after soldering with Amerway 900 Enviro-Clean-25 Detergent and Saponifier or solvent.  Amerway 300-RA-25 meets the Joint Industry Standard J-STD-004, flux Type M-1.

Application:  Amerway 300 Rosin flux RA-25 was formulated for use with foam, wave, dipping, spray or brushing application.  Although there are no standard operating instructions due to the variety of equipment for foaming, the following guidelines will help assure dependable soldering.

A.  Maintain a constant level in the flux tank.

B.  Evaporation losses should be compensated by using Amerway 305 RA Thinner.

C.  Keep equipment clean and avoid contamination, particularly oil and water.

D.  Keep the air pressure low and make sure the air lines contain traps    to remove moisture and oils which could change the foaming
    properties of the flux.
