Electronic Rosin-Based Fluxes Amerway 200 Rosin Flux - RMA - 25 is a specially-formulated, mildly-activated foam flux designed to produce improved solder ability and to prevent white residue formation, which is common with most RMA-type rosin fluxes. This flux contains a specially blended activator system to go along with the exceptionally pure grade of rosin which provides very effective soldering and greater surface insulation resistance. The components in the solvent system are of high purity and blended to keep evaporation losses to a minimum. Amerway 200 Rosin Flux -RMA-25 meets the Joint Industry Standard J-Std-004, flux Type L-1. The residue is non-tacky and non-hygroscopic. It is not necessary to remove the residues to ensure high reliability. If the residues are to be removed, this can be accomplished by using Amerway 900 Enviro-Clean-25 detergent for saponification or alcohol or other approved solvents. Advantages
Application: Amerway 200 Rosin Flux-RMA-25 is formulated for use with foam, wave, dipping or brushing application. Although there are no standard operation instructions due to the variety of equipment for foam fluxing on the market, the following guidelines will help assure dependable soldering: A. Maintain a constant level in the flux tank. B. Evaporation losses should be compensated by using Amerway 200 Rosin Flux-RMA-25 Thinner(205). C. Keep equipment clean and avoid contamination, particularly oil and water. D. Keep the air pressure low and make sure the air lines contain traps to remove moisture and oils which could change the foaming properties of the flux. Physical properties: Flux Type J-Std-004 L-1 RMA Safety Precautions: Flammable- Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames, such as in well ventilated areas, and avoid prolonged and repeated contact with skin. |
